Bridal Party

Yesterday I completed one of the tasks for my forthcoming wedding, deciding on my part for the bridal party. The following are helping out on the day.

  • Best Man – Peter Muncey
  • Head UsherRob Watkins
  • Usher – Andrew James
  • Usher – Oliver Drewett
  • Usher – Daniel Rice

I feel that between the five them I have a great team that will really help Stephanie and me out on the day. This decision was not an easy one but I fell that this team is well balanced. Have a good gut feeling about it!

Current Projects

At the moment I have numerous websites that I need to work on. Below is a list of sites that I will be working on in the next few months. I won’t be taking on any more work until after they are all completed. These are listed in no particular order.

  • Wedding website – This is a site for my wedding to Stephanie. It will contain all the useful information that one would need for the day. This is currently my top priority and finger crossed we will be launching in the next few weeks!
  • KUCA- This is a revamp of the current Kent University Conservative Association website moving from Drupal 4.7 to Drupal 5. This project needs to be completed for the start of the new academic year.
  • Jeez Cards – This is a site that will showcase greeting cards designs. Jeez Cards are producing the cards for my Wedding, so in turn I am helping to produce this website. Hopefully this site will be live by August.
  • Harlow CF – Harlow Conservative Future is run by former KUCA Chairman Joel Charles. I am helping him set up Harlow CF online presence. This should be complete by end of July.
  • Croydon CF – I have recently been elected Communications Officer for Croydon Conservative Future. One of the remits of the job is looking after the website. After the first exec meeting I should have some sort of idea what we want.
  • WAVM – This will be an online photo sharing website for our group of friends. Will this be completed? Looking at the pat attempts no.

As you can see along with helping to plan my wedding, I have a lot to be getting on with!

Welcome Back

StephenHendry.net is back. I have decided that it is time to get back into regularly updating this website.

This website is using a Drupal 5 installation currently with no customisation out of the box, except clean URL’s being turned on. The problem I tend to find is that I spend ages on a design for a site and never get going with the content. This time I am going to start creating content and worry about the design and features. I hope that we can see the site evolve over time.

The areas I am planning on covering on this site are:

  • Drupal - A Content Management System that powers this site and something that I have a lot or personal interest in
  • Web Development - I enjoy making websites and will post about the trials and tribulations of building them.
  • Computing - General computing areas. I am a Computer Science graduate and computing is a passion of mine.
  • Politics - I am a Conservative involved in Conservative Future.
  • Personal - Some people want to know what is going on in my life especially with my marriage to Stephanie ever approaching.
  • Links- On my travel on the world wide web I find many sites that I like. I will provide links to those sites for two reasons:
    1. So you can discover new content
    2. So I can find sites I liked again!

One important thing to mention is I will not mention any details about my employer and any information regarding my work these.

One important thing when blogging is to post regular and be consistent. My aim is to blog 5 days a week. Normally Monday to Friday. I hope I can keep it up. Time will tell.
